Korean Skin Cleansing. Varieties and Most Popular Products
A few months ago, before I started using Korean cosmetics, I was sure that the face should be washed with liquid gel or, at the very least, soap. Naive Chukchi girl. Back then I didn’t know about Korean multi-step method yet. There are many cleansing products from Korean manufacturers, so I hope my article will not just confuse you further.
The first and mandatory point of Korean skin care is thorough cleansing of the skin in the morning and evening. Not face washing, but cleansing, preferably two-step one if you use decorative makeup.
Cleansing (hydrophilic) oil
Cleansing oil is strongly recommended to remove BB-creams and waterproof makeup. Regular foaming cleansers do not remove BB-cream well and leave makeup particles in the pores.
A good cleansing oil will not overdry the skin, will deep clean the pores and prevent formation of comedones (blackheads).
It’s not simply an oil. Upon contact with water, it emulsifies and becomes water soluble.

Foam and gel cleansers .
It’s imperative to use a foaming or gel cleanser after cleansing oil. If you do not use decorative makeup or BB-creams, then the foam alone is sufficient. Korean cleansers produce rich and gentle foam and are very economical.

Cleansing creams and balms
Washing the face with soap or foaming cleansers isn’t advised for dry or easily irritated skin, skin with enlarged blood vessels, and for those who feel burning or tightness after cleansing. In these cases, one could try a cleansing cream or balm. These creams are applied to a dry face, softly massaging the skin, and are not rinsed off but removed with a cotton disc along with the dissolved makeup.

Peel Off Masks
