What should be chosen for delicate, sensitive, acne and inflammation-prone teenage skin?
Let’s attempt to discuss that.
First of all, I want to warn you that even if you buy lots of good treatments, there is no guarantee that the child will immediately agree to use any of them. Have patience, don’t force it, don’t bring attention to the imperfections. Perhaps, the teen doesn’t see and doesn’t notice them, and you can create a new issue for him, make him think about his imperfections, and introduce a new inferiority complex. Be sensitive and careful with the feelings of your children. (more…)
My turn has come to share my Odyssey. Let’s start with the source data: 38 year old combination skin, which didn’t know that creams existed until 35… As the result, we have what we have: crow’s feet around the eyes, uneven and unhealthy skin tone, post acne spots from years of periodic breakouts, scars from the same thing, forehead wrinkles and nasolabial folds, making the whole face look like a pug on bad days, without the cuteness factor. Woof, this feels like a confession. (more…)
A new month is here, meaning a new beauty box is ready for my kid.
For those of you who doesn’t know about our tradition – to avoid throwing away countless unneeded bottles and testers from existing beauty boxes, I put together my own beauty box for my kid. (more…)
I use sheet masks every day and love variety. I cannot imaging a full skincare routine for aging skin without sheet masks – it’s an effective daily hydration boost with various other bonuses.
I also love cosmetics containing rose. I usually arrange my masks in a strict order, but often pick out ones with this component “out of order”. Here are three great rose masks from well known brands that I’ve been familiar with for a long time. (more…)
The beauty secrets of Korean and Japanese beauties haven’t been so secret to us for a long time. We all know that the reasons for their beauty and youth are not the mysterious “asian genes”, but dietary habits and an excellent skincare routine. So I asked myself – what parts of Korean menu can we find not in a restaurant, but on a sheet mask shelf? (more…)
My kid loves beauty boxes. I love them too, but as an older and more practical lady, I know that a beautiful box filled with colorful papers that we open with trembling from excitement hands, most of the bottles will accumulate in the bathroom as useless clutter.
But the money will be spent, while you could buy something actually useful and really cool with it.
So the kid and I started a tradition – I put together a monthly beauty box for her. (more…)
I don’t like the saying comparing women to berries. Let’s imagine how quickly berries wilt and shrivel. But the ginseng root doesn’t shrivel. It doesn’t really change much, maintaining its healing properties.
Especially if the ginseng is fermented, with gold and a whole “army” of skin-rejuvenating components. (more…)
Hydration is essential to preserving the youth of any skin type: dry, normal, and oily (oily skin, despite the theories of some girls, can easily be dehydrated as well). Sometimes, it’s so hard to decide if a cosmetic product is a good fit for our skin. Maybe it’s the placebo effect – when we start to think that the treatment is working because our friends are praising it. Or if it’s very expensive.
In the past, the effectiveness could be measured in numbers only in the cosmetologist’s chair. But now, thanks to Asians, we can do it in our own bathroom.

All of us are looking for a miracle product that will cure everything at once. One of the contenders for this honorary title is niacinamide.
The ingredient, which can address skin’s main problems such as pigmentation, inflammation, early wrinkles, has been in active use in Korean cosmetics for a long time.
Niacinamide (nicotinamide, amide nicotinamide, vitamin PP, vitamin B3) – water-soluble vitamin B3. (more…)
